I joined Digital Tutors. Doing tutorial by Shane Olson. Fantastic teacher. He recommends customizing the UI to mimic his for this course. In the 5th part one opens a black/white sketch by hitting ‘texture’ I see the file but get an error message so can’t bring it into the ‘stage’ to sculpt. I can bring other jpgs on my hard drive as they do load. I can see ‘mine’ in the texture tray but not the tutorial sketch.
2nd question: how do I Return to the base UI that comes with zBrush? As a part of the tutorial, he presents his style of setting up zBrush and working on Dynamesh. I pray one can return to the very beginning layout one sees when initial opening of the program occurs.
I was told possibly there is a problem of compatibility as the tutorial was created in 4R4 and I have 4R6. I really don’t accept that as being the reason that the jpg won’t load with accompanied error message.
