IMM rope brush applies "on the other side" of the edge curve

So i made part of the clothing (collar) for a character im working on (Jester). Its a single side geomatry, no need for expanding to double side, cause i wanted to do some finishes decorative on the edges (trim laces and similar stuff). Specifficaly i started with simple rope IMM brush to create kinda golden tube finish to a cloth on the edge. I created edge curve loop noice, when i put IMM rope brush on it, heres what happens:

Rope goes “underneath” the cloth, it doesnt go through middle of the curve.

When i tried basic IMM curve tube brush ive got correct result:

BUT, even with it i get some strange behaviour, when i reduced brush size to value 2, ive got this:

Curve is now shortened in some way on its own, tube doesnt go all around edge as it should be. With size set to value 3:

Shortens again, just differently, with size value 4 and above its all fine.

My question is how i can manipulate applience/orientation of IMM brush on the curve edgeloop (rope) in the first pics, that it goes around edgeloop in the middle of the curve (as it does with basic tube curve brush for example, as seen in the pics), or it have to do something with the IMM rope brush - i tried everything, looked everywhere, no change.
Also why curve shorten itself when i use value of IMM brush less than 4?

Thanks for the help!

Hi @SuminaZoran1

The position and /or height at which your IMM brush draws the part depends on a couple of factors. Usually it’s because of the location of the mesh in world space was not centered when you created the IMM brush. It’s usually a good idea to Unify (Tool > Deformation > Unify) before you make it an IMM brush. However, the depth at which the IMM brush draws the mesh can be adjusted with the Brush > Depth > Imbed setting. You would have to click on the curve again after every adjustment to update it.

Thx, ill check it out.
