IMM on curved surface

Hi all, I have searched until my head hurts lol. How do I get an IMM brush to fully weld on a curved surface? The weld points look horrible after any re-meshing.

Thanks.Screen Shot 2018-08-01 at 6.58.32 AM.png

Go to the ‘ZBrush 2018/Documentation’ folder and open the “ZBrush4_R4_whats_new.PDF” and, go to page 28 (Creating A Connection) and check out pages 28, 29 and 30.

You can also try Live Boolean method that is outlined in the “ZBrush4_R8_whats_new.PDF” starting on page 34.

You can also try ZModeler > Edge Actions > Bridge > 2 Holes.

thank you for the information. I followed the steps in creating a connection and I am just getting the same result. My brush is connecting to the surface in the very center and thats it.

What do you think Im doing wrong?Screen Shot 2018-08-01 at 7.32.26 PM.pngScreen Shot 2018-08-01 at 7.33.08 PM.png

Do you have the bottom open? It can’t be a closed mesh.

Ok, I can understand that, so I downloaded a brush instead of making one for now. Im trying to weld a spike to the back of this gargoyle. Still, no go. The behavior is the same. And with curve activate it turns the brush around and make it huge.Screen Shot 2018-08-02 at 6.28.08 AM.pngScreen Shot 2018-08-02 at 6.34.03 AM.png
