Hi all, I’m having an issue with my IMM brush smoothing/moving anytime I add to the curve. This is incredibly annoying, having to readjust the entire curve with every addition.
Any way to freeze or prevent the curve from moving when adding to the curve?
Not in the way that you mean, as far as I’m aware. However, reducing the Curve Step value in Stroke> Curve should produce a curve with more points in it, and therefore more responsive to the underlying surface and less prone to clipping issues as the curve redraws itself.
Remember, no matter where you get your curve from, the IMM brush can draw out the stroke all at once along its entirety. So you could, for instance, use the topology brush to draw out a precise curve exactly how you like it, with all the snapping and editing functionality of that tool, and then switch to the IMM brush to draw the belt all at once.
