Hello, I would like to ask the designers who are experienced and experienced in the field of screen tablets. Because I couldn’t get answers from anyone that would clearly affect my thoughts. I would be glad if you help. Sorry for this, it might be a bit of a long post.
I am a graphic designer. I do 2D and 3D designs. So far, I’ve done my drawings on an unscreened Wacom graphics tablet. Now I want to switch to a drawing tablet with a screen. I have “Wacom Cintiq 16” and “IPad Pro 11 inch” in mind. But despite weighing the pros and cons between these two, I’m still undecided. As you know, Wacom Cintiq 16 works as a computer dependent. Although it is fixed on the computer, it can provide program freedom since I work on Windows. The iPad Pro is easily portable, but I think it will be a program limitation. Also, seeing the excellent work done in some programs like Procreate, I can’t help but turn to the iPad Pro, even though the Wacom Cintiq 16 has its pluses. I have a feeling that if I buy an iPad Pro, I will only buy it for 2D illustration and for the Procreate program. Also, Procreat’s layer/layer limitations were thought-provoking. For example, since 2D animations are worked on many layers/layers, I think the iPad pro will stay in the background in large projects. Or the work done on the iPad Pro may be finalized on the computer anyway. On the other hand, since the Wacom tablet is already connected to the computer, the need to switch from one place to another is eliminated. First of all, there are illustrations, logos, posters, magazines, books or stories, as well as 3D illustrations in ZBrush, which I deal with from time to time. Do you think it would be more appropriate to choose my Wacom Cintiq 16 or my iPad Pro in this confusion of thoughts for professional work?
