I Haz Toys - Collectibles and Figurines sculpts!

Hey all!

I havent posted for along time but would like to get back in the habit of sharing myself and my partners work here with you all in this thread!

About 12 months ago I wanted to sculpt and print a collectible toy of my own, a friend of mine Paul Kwon and myself collaborated and produced Remi-7, the first of what would hopefully be many toys! Ownage also manufactures all of our toys!

Our first toy sold out in a few weeks, so upon her 1 year anniversary we have just ordered another encore run of kits!

Finished 9 Inch Collectible Toy:

Sculpt:

Since that time, I’ve relocated around the world back to my homeland of New Zealand where I work @ Weta Workshop as a digital sculptor and had to put my toy store dreams on hold a bit! Up until about a month ago when I decided it was high time to start sculpting more toys!!!

The next toy in production, another collaboration with another friend of mine Deadman is Yellow Star who also stands at 9 inches tall. She is being printed at the moment, and once thats complete, moulds and resin casts will be made, packaged and she is expected to ship out in the early part of the 3rd quarter of 2016!

Sculpt:

Since sculpting Yellow Star, my partner Layna has also joined in the fray and is now sculpting toys for our toy store! It has officially become a ‘family’ hobby!
We only use zbrush + zbrush bridge + keyshot for the production of all of our toys.

We also live stream the creation of each and every toy sculpture on our twitch channels. So if you are looking to hang out with us on our stream or pick up some of our techniques etc, feel free to stop into our streams below:

We will endeavour to update this thread as we go along creating our toys

Next up, some shots of Layna’s 2 toys!

Hi

These are absolutely awesome. Love you style, very cool proportions on yellow star. Great work man, you are a very skilled sculptor.
Great hearing you do what you love, keep it up. Looking forward to seeing more.

great love it

Hey guys I’m Troy’s partner in crime for the Ihaztoys store, Layna :D!

I’m still very new here ;__; but I am excited to be posting about some fun stuff I’ve worked on! I think this is a great opportunity to make a public thread with all of our sculpting wips, processes, and breakdowns, all the way up until the final toy!

The first toy I’ve had the pleasure of working on is Rin, the Hammer Wielder.
Original design and concept by Original design and concept by Kang Shim Woo Dae, you can check it out here! http://gerburn.blog.me/220618661472

Rin will be my very first toy, so I really hope she turns out okay :x This was a great learning experience and I hope to grow even more after the next one!

realy nice works:+1:

Thanks for the kind words Ylog, wojciechmichalski & zszs!

More new toys and wips on the way!!

Thinking, Rin is a must buy… the gesture, action lines, and combo of hard and soft is too amazing to pass up!

I remember seeing your sculptures on DevArt and wondering where they were at in terms of completion. Super excited to see your post and works here :]

Wow!! O_O

Thank you so much Takai! That really means a lot :3

I’m actually quite nervous about Rin as she will be my first!! So it makes me happy to hear someone wants to purchase her!! <3

Insane!!

If that is you first toy!?!..wow…i must say i can’t wait to see the 10th!! (and all inbetween of course ;))

Great clean sculpting, amazing composition. Love the flow of lines in the Rin piece, she’s stunning, congrats.

Keep up the good work, both of you.

Hey guys!

I’m happy to announce that Eve, the Shield Maiden is now available for pre-order on the store!

I initially made her with higher res details but updated her to be printed at 55mm scale. I’ve never actually worked on anything that was more on the realistic side, but I’m such a huge fan of Eve Ventrue’s artwork, so I took a shot at trying something out of my comfort zone. I have to admit I struggled a lot with this one, but I learned so much at the end of it!

I’ve also attached the non-mini version!

Some more cool news, is that Keiko and Char will be the next figure on it’s way!

I finally finished her polypaint and threw her into Keyshot to get some cool renders! Excited with how she turned out but even more excited to see her printed

Yellow Star Prints from sculpt above:

We plan to have her painted as per my polypainted addition above in the thread as well

Really liking these toys, the flow and rhythm of your sculpting is excellent! :+1:

I agree. The curves are very fluid and clean.
