I don't get zbrush workflow, I lost my details when using zremesher

I am quite new in zbrush and I recently tried to model a head following a concept art I found. I started from a sphere and with dynamehs active I started to sculpt the face, ears, nose, eyelids, I even made some asymmetric details (eyes are not symmetric in the concept art, same with the mouth). Then I decided to use zremesher to get a cleaner mesh and keep going from there, I also wanted to create lower subdivision levels to smooth large areas easily. But when I applied the zremesher I lost my asymmetric details and from there zbrsuh was unable to reconstruct subdivisions.

What can I do?

Can someone explain me a proper workflow? I don’t need anything elaborated just a list from start to finish so I can understand the proper workflow and in which part dynamesh plays a part. I have also seen people starting with zspheres and then subdivide.

What you would want to do is make a clone of your model so that you keep a copy of the original with its details. Next, use ZRemesher to create your desired topology. Append that new version to the original as a SubTool and divide it so that it has approximately the same number of polygons as the original. Now use Project All to copy the details from the original to the new version. You can now delete the original.
