Messing around with Z3 after seeing the Starcraft 2 concept art. Not accurate or anything, just fun.
Here’s the non shaded version

Wowwww…
show more (untexturered perhaps, if possible?)
Looks cool, I love the modeling, but the texturing could be… I dunno, maybe more constrastive or dark to make it more dramatic somehow.
wow very cool
i would definitely like to see more as well
regarding the concept art from starcraft2.com it is quite accurate
i’m actually modelling an infested terran
this would have been a good reference for me ^^
but most of the modelling is already done…
great model.
i think it’s not the texture but the material choice is wrong.
wish to see untextured.
Very cool and apparently very popular character to model. I’ve never played Starcraft but these guys keep turning up so I think I will. I especially like the way you handled the head.
Haha yeah I just noticed someone posted another one right after that, ironic.
Anyway yeah I agree about the materials, probably needs to just be rendered in another package to assign different ones to the soft and hard tissues. I’ll get a non textured on up tonight, thanks.
Hehe, saw yours up and it reminded me I hadn’t posted any updates for mine since I started a few weeks ago. Looking good =]
Its been quite a long time since I’ve seen anyone sculpt Starcraft 2 characters. I agree that rendering might be better in another package. However, you can assign different materials to different portions of this bad boy, by grouping visible polys and then breaking up the groups into subtools. I haven’t had a real go at ZB3 rendering, but I’ve seen some astounding ZB3 renders.
cool thanks, didn’t realize you could do that. So far I’ve just used it for disp and normal maps but it would be nice to render some directly from zbrush as the models never seem to look quite as good outside unless you can use PRMan.
