How you start in zbrush a character? (Hands and feets)

Hello,

im a little bit confused, about how to start a character in zbrush.

often i get to the point, where i have to make hand and feets, but i dont know which way is better?

Should i start from a mannquin and then move out the fingers ?

Should i make in another programm hands and feets and then append to the zbrush model with dynamesh?

Should i make a basemesh in 3dsmax with low poly hands and feets and then export to zbrush?

Everytime i want to start, its the same question for me.

There is no right answer. There are many approaches, and you’ll be more comfortable doing one or the other. You could make a figure with Zspheres or a mannequin. You could simply sculpt one out from a primitive, pulling limbs out and dynameshing as you go, or using the curve tube brush. You could model the figure in a traditional modeling program and import it. The only way to know is to become familiar with all the various methods and figure out which one works best for your needs.

Scott is right. There are tons of ways to do it and it’s just a matter of trying them and finding which works best for your needs.
