How will I export a tool on another project?

I sculpted a hair and saved it as a tool so I can import it from my project (whole body), but everytime I import it, it only loads the hair by itself. I wanted to append my hair tool into my project but it keeps loading by itself and doesn’t even show up on my quick pick. Any ideas?

Also is there a way to remove the “The mesh is composed of multiple subdivision levels. Delete or Freeze the subdivision levels and try again. Action cancelled” because I don’t want to freeze anything (bad experience) It always asks me this when using CurveStrapSnap brush and can’t continue because of that message spamming me.

Sorry for these questions and thank you in advance!

When you load a tool it is placed on the canvas with it’s own subtools if any, you need to reselect the tool you want to add it too and click append or insert and select the hair tool from the quick pick that pops up.

As for the pop up of freezing/deleting sub divisions you can’t alter that, it only functions on a single subdivison. You can get around this by duplicating the tool you want to add the strap too, deleting all subdivisions apart from the one you want to add the strap to on the copy tool, then apply the strap. If you click on the polygroups you will see the strap is a different colour. ctrl + alt click on the strap to isolate the polygroup and then under Geometry tab, modify topology click delete hidden. Then simply merge your original tool with the new strap or leave them as separate tools.

Ex Machina, maybe you already found the solution.

You first load the tool, then after click on your main object again on tools palette. Then add the loaded tool on subtools.
