How to turn on ActivePoints and TotalPoints count on menu bar?

Hi,

I would like to turn on the ActivePoints and TotalPoints option to display on the menu bar. Does anyone know the preferences setting for this?

Thank you.

What do you mean by “menu bar”?

Actually, I was able to find out that it was not a preference setting. Basically I found that a few people had the ActivePoints and TotalPoints displayed right below the Palettes bar (not menu bar) above the sculpting section. I thought it was a preference setting but then realized that it was a custom UI setting. Those two options are found under the Misc section of Preferences.

Thank you.

If by “menu bar” you mean Top Shelf, as I have pointed out in the image above, then you will have to use a custom UI. To move those items to the Top Shelf, do the following.

  1. Go to Preferences>Config and click ‘Enable Customize’.

  2. Go to Preferences>Misc and, while holding down Alt+Ctrl, click and drag ‘ActivePoints’ to the Top Shelf. Do the same for ‘TotalPoints’.

  3. Go to Preferences>Config and turn off ‘Enable Customize’ and then click ‘Store Config’.

Thank you. I did post the same thing after I figured out that it was a custom ui, but my reply has not been posted yet for whatever reason. I really appreciate your thorough response. It’s great to know that whenever I have something like this pop up there’s a community that is very responsive.
