How to swap body parts?

I know we can import / export the mesh if it retains the same vertices, etc. Is there a way to remove an arm or head and replace it with a different one but with a different vertex count?

I’m not concerned with re-projecting any higher sub-d levels. Just want to attach a different base mesh head without leaving ZBrush.

Vert count and vert order must remain the same unless you want to project the mesh. So the answer is yes you can añd no you can’t.
