How to Store Size of the Canvas?

Hi,

First 5 seconds of experience with ZBrush.

Canvas is too small. It was too small back in 2008, back in 2012 and is still wrong.
I don’t understand that, but at least can change it:

And store the changes:

Oh well, it doesn’t work.

Can someone explain it to me? Cheers

If you want the document size to be the same size as the canvas area which is the whole window, in the Document palette, enable “WSize”. This will fit the document to the canvas. Then click “New Document”. Answer “No” to the dialog that pops up that say’s “Document has been changed. Would you like to save changes”. Then click “Save As Startup Doc” button.

Thank you a lot!

Also just noticed “Save As Startup Document”. ^^

Just a note here–WSize can’t be disabled as part of the startup doc. It will load the the program with the pixel dimensions specified in the startup doc, but WSize will be enabled.

If you save a file with WSize enabled, it will scale the document size to your screen res, minus any space occupied by the UI (high DPI scaling from your OS may influence this). If you disable WSize before saving, it will save the doc at the pixel dimensions specified in the document menu, and only those dimensions.

Once a project is saved with WSize disabled, it will always be disabled whenever you load that project.
