How to select all edges in either horizontal or vertical in Zbrush Zmodeler?

I am trying to find a way to select all edges in either a vertical or horizontal way but I don’t seem to find anyway?

In short Polyloop from Polyfaces but in an edge version?

Hello @Samsam2020

ZModeler does not select edges directly, outside of the Edge> Add to Curve function. You perform an operation and define a target for that operation. Different target selections will be available for different operations. All vertical/All horizontal are not available selections for any operation.

If you define polygroups for your mesh, then polygroups that contain those edges can all be targeted at once with the appropriate target selection–for instance “Polygroup All”. In addition the modifiers section may provide options for some functions to draw multiple edge loops at once.

In ZBrush, it is common to isolate elements you don’t want to affect with masking. At that point, any global operations to the mesh will only affect unmasked portions. However, remember that the vertice is the primary component in ZBrush, and with any operation you are ultimately targeting a series of points, not edges or polygons. If an edge loop is masked but intersects with another edge loop that you wish to affect, the point at the intersection must be unmasked in order to affect the entire edge loop.

Good luck!

Thank you!
