how to scale -10 times in Zbrush ?

Hi,

I am trying to scale an object 10 times down, which equal a scale 0.1 in Maya.
However the scale slider in Zbrush is bonkers, and scales in strange numbers. Any solution to get an easier accurate scaling in ZB ?

The scale slider is in percentages and always functions relative to the current scale.

So if you’re wanting something 1/10th the size of your current model then you would use a slider value of -90 because this is subtracting 90%.

-99 would give you a model that’s only 1% of the original.

-50 would be half size. If you then did -50 again your model would now be 25% of the size of the original because you halved it and then halved it again.

Going the other direction, the most you can do at one time is double the size because you’re scaling up 100%.

Alternatively, use the Tool>Geometry>Size>XYZ Size slider.
