How to save mapping after zremesher or dynamesh?

Hello. There is a model with good mapping and texture. I need to add a few pieces of geometry in this subtool, therefore I would like to apply dynamesh, but I need to save mapping and a texture. How can I do it? I can’t press a button “texture on” after dynamesh, I guess a mapping become lost.

You can convert any applied texture to polypaint with the Tool> Polypaint> Polypaint From Texture command. Obviously altering the geometry of a mesh will alter the mapping, but that polypaint can then be converted to a texture for the new object with it’s new mapping with the Tool> Texture Map> Create >“New From Polypaint” command.
