How to restrict parts of my mesh to be affected by Dynamesh?

Hi all

Usually when I work with dynamesh on my human biped base model I am forced to use 512 resolution or more, even if I don’t want to, because of the hand.

If I choose below that the fingers get connected making a mess for me to adjust later.

Is there any way that I can restrict some areas that the dynamesh would be aplied?

thanks

nope.
dynamesh is a uniform density across your model.

You don’t have to limit yourself to a single mesh though.
I would work on the hand independent and then merge the meshes when you’re done. Dynamesh them together and zremesh for a clean topo, project and clean up.
