How to reproduce Trim Curve Brush in Zbrushcore

In my understanding, Zbrush has a brush called Trim Curve Brush that cuts a model in half and creates new topology to seal the hole. But Zbrushcore doesn’t have this brush, right? So what is the best way to cut a model in half and seal the hole? Thanks.

You can do it like this. Your mesh can’t have any subdivision levels.

  1. Hold Ctrl and select the MaskLasso brush.
  2. Holding Ctrl, draw a mask on your mesh for the part you want to be a separate piece.
  3. Press Tool>SubTool>Split>Split Unmasked Points. This will split the mesh into two subtools based on the masking.
  4. For each subtool, press the Tool>Geometry>DynaMesh button. This will fill the holes in the shape. You may need to adjust the DynaMesh resolution and other settings to get the result you want.

Awesome. That works. Thanks!
