Hi, I have a quick question. I have a sculpt and I’m getting up there in polys, about 10mil. I realized that I do want to have the feet show but I already have a lot of texture applied. How do I fix the feet and keep my details? Thanks
I’m not really sure what it is you’re trying to achieve.
Could you post up some images that show what you have and maybe that will better explain what you’re looking for.
Sorry, I don’t think I gave enough details. I have a sculpt with 10 mil active points. I didnt plan on having toes exposed but as the sculpt went I decided that the model would look better with open toe shoes and now I need to add toes. The only way I know of to add toes is to turn dynamesh back on but when I do my activepoints drop to from 10mil to 2.55 mil and I lose a lot of the detail I added. Even if I put the resolution of dynamesh to like 1000 it still spits out 2.55 mil. So I’m trying to find out how I can sculpt some toes into this foot and retain the detail I have already added.

duplicate your mesh.
dynamesh the duplicate
bring out your shapes, toes in your case
subD your mesh up to a similar try count as before
project your new mesh onto the old one.
clean up any projection errors and continue sculpting.
Thanks, that works! Hey nice stuff by the way. EA? Know any animators there?
I did. I don’t work there anymore though
