How to make brush affect what's behind it?

Hello,

I’m sculpting a foot from an existing low poly model and would like to move an entire toe in low-poly mode.

After a few hours of googling, I am still unable to find out how to let the ‘Move Topological’ brush affect what’s behind it (My searches always brought me the reverse effect of what I want (enabling Backface Mask in brush settings for thin geometry).

I’m pretty sure there is a setting for this somewhere as it exists in Blender but just can’t find it in ZBrush.
Does anyone know where?

your brush is a sphere, not a circle. if the “sphere” wouldn’t reach the backside of your mesh, then it won’t effect it. This is why thin objects are effected by this as your searches have uncovered.

If you want a full screenspaced movement then you’ll want to start using masking and the transpose line.

Thank you for enlightening me on the nature of brush being a sphere.
I had always thought that they were circles that projected infinitely based on the viewport direction.
And thanks for your suggested solution, I shall investigate further.
