how to have two sets of zpheres in one file?

hi there,

i am trying to create a model with two figures. i plan to create each figure using zpheres. it seems as though only one set of connected zpheres can be created at a time? is that correct? i’m wondering how i would create the second figure? do i have to complete one and then two the other one separately, or can i create both at the same time?

any help would be much appreciated

Do you want 1 model or several? You could certainly model more than one figure. You could model something with 10 heads. Will you sculpt it in its final pose or do you intend to pose after modeling? Usually easier to make something and save it to load into your scene when things are more ‘concrete’.

thanks for your reply Doug - what I mean is that I need to make a scene, with two separate figures…so what Id like to do is start another zphere model close but not connected to my current zphere model

Start with one. Then Make Adaptive Skin. You’ll still have the base rig you can modify to make the other mesh and you can bind your mesh to that same armature to pose it  You’ll get the hang of it

ah ok, i’ll give it a try, thanks for your advice

???
What gives you that idea?

For your second character, just append a zshpere (or just duplicate your first one). This will be added as a second subtool.
You can work on them separately in your scene.

You can add/duplicate as many zsphere characters as you want.

In Lightbox, look under Projects > Mannequin to see examples of multiple zsphere characters in scenes.
