How to fill up the inside of a model which is empty inside?

Hi  I have a tool which I’d like to be 3D printed, but the model is empty inside and its thickness is not enough to print it properly. I’m a beginner and I couldn’t solve this problem yet because when I change the thickness by the slider then it’s killing the outside of the model’s surface too, so I thought the model should be filled up with material first to become 1 solid mesh, then somehow I could prepare a hole inside. I don’t know how to fill up the empty space inside of the model first.

If your model is hollow then it has an interior and exterior surface. So in Zbrush run Polgroup: Autogroup to give the exterior and interior surfaces different polygroups. Then hide the interior polygroups and delete them. You’ll be left with the exterior surface alone which you can export and then FDM print with as many walls and as much infill as you want. Cheers.

Thank you for your answer  I’m afraid the problem is that the model has no inside and outside surface. I guess it’s just have one single flat surface and I can’t make it thicker, because the thickness slider makes a distortion on the outside too.

So you have a solid model that you want to hollow to a desired thickness? If so then these might help:
