My Image Plane 3 plugin provides an opacity slider for a model in edit mode. Also you can use the plugin to load a background image that will be placed behind the model.

Alternatively, to move you model forwards switch off Edit mode and switch on Move or Rotate mode so that the Gyro appears, then click and drag down outside the Gyro to bring the model forwards. Also, while the Gyro is showing you can change the RGB Intensity to less than 100, making your model transparent.

Marcus while we are on the topic of transparent is there a way to turn up and down the transparent quality of Rich Black within Zbrush? Ow and somehow keep the transparency on a polypainted model?
Lets say in the case of hair on a model, and using the black as an alpha?

cannedmushrooms,
As far as I know texture transparency in ZBrush is either 100% or 0%, there’s no way to have a graded effect. Also, I don’t think you can use the effect with polypainting (other than to use the texture to mask and then hide points).

Than kyou for your reply.
greatly helpfull
