How to close hole?

Hello.

I’d like to know how to close holes.

I did a illustration to show you.

See pic1.jpg:

[pic1.jpg]

  • at #1. I did a hole.
  • at #2. I used inflat to close it.
  • and #3. is what I wish as result.

Teach me a technique (or several) to close that making a smooth “closed-hole” like #3.

Thanks.

Try to work on lower sdiv levels. Do some arrangements and then swich to upper level and go on.

Also after using inflat use smooth tool.

in #2 i used smooth, but keep messing the mesh.

it works fine!

Thank you.

I got a new question.

How colapse bridges?
Look:

Use smotth brush at lower levels too .

Now whats here ? u wanan bridge them or seperate them ?

You cannot ‘join’ geometry. You need an external modeling App for that. You might be able to push it together and then create a unified mesh from that. But the result might be far from what you expect…

BTW lemo you were at Siggraph

Will new zbrush join meshes ?

Lols I think this question gets obsolute. Just remmebred 3d layers.

Though I can be wrong also.

oh, i got it.

Well, I found a solution. Using Make Unified Skin, but it looks like if I’ve applied noise to the mesh (see image). I don’t found a good value to make a good union.

Oh well.

As I wrote before. There is no good solution.

Brazil…

Not sure if this is something you can utilize, but I see you’re starting with a 3D sphere primative. What about using ‘multi-markers’ and inserting a ring3d into your sphere, which will make your loop clean, and then create a new mesh from that with ‘makepolymesh’?

Word.

Wordswith, I just used a 3d sphere to illustrate my question.

Well u can use that multimarker technique to join any 2 even more meshes.

The only problem is amount of total no of polygons in the final mesh- my computer hangs with that amount of poly:)
