How to center a mesh?

Good morning!

I recently noticed that, as I move the mesh on the grid, symmetry works offset the mesh and this can be fixed by pressing ‘Local Symmetry’ but I wonder if there’s an option to center your mesh again.

Cheers.

You can use the Tool>Deformation>Offset slider. Click the little x, y or z for the relevant axis. It will also help if you turn on the Floor so the grid axes show, and turn off Perspective.

If you need to restore symmetry, you can use Tool>Geometry>Modify Topology>Mirror And Weld. This will mirror the left side of your model across the axis (again, select from the little x, y and z), and weld the result. The right hand side is removed. Left and right in this context is for the X axis with your model facing forwards - the side preserved and mirrored is the same side as the red line. Other axes behave in a similar way. Test this out first, so you don’t get any surprises!

Thank you marcus_civis! I guess Mirror and Weld will make the trick. By the way, excellent job by the Pixologic Team, I enjoy using ZBCore so much.

That’s great! :+1:
