I have a vine I would like to bend around a pile of rocks organically/by hand such that it crawls along the surface of the rocks and over the gaps between them. However, it’s important the vine mesh never goes too deep and into the rock mesh. Is there a way to make the rocks such that when I move the vine too far, it automatically stops at the surface? Some sort of collision detection during modeling? If not, what is the fastest way to ensure vines of different sizes will always sit exactly on top of the rocks?
Interesting question if it’s possible to avoid, that one mesh penetrates the other – such as a collider in maya, I personally have no idea.
But you should post that question again but with white letters… It’s nearly notreadable"
I would sculpt all the rocks as one subtool and then model the complete vine as another subtool and then use theMatchmaker brush to project the the vine down onto the rock. I would then clean up any portions that aren’t sitting correctly by hand.
