How to auto- align identical subtools in Zbrush (that were/was moved by accident)...?

Hello

I have a 3D scan (mesh) around 10 milion polygons, its an older project started months ago to which i came back now. I brought the mesh to zbrush, retopo it to lower poly and worked on this lower poly in 3ds max (the mesh had holes, bad geometry at times etc.). I want to bring it back to zbrush and re project detail (for displacemen and normal maps) from the original high polygon mesh.

The problem is that i tried to bring back the original hipoly mesh back to agisoft photoscan to reproject texture and found out that the hipoly mesh (10 milion) (and thus even the low poly mesh) have been (both in the same fashion) somehow mis-aligned from the point cloud they were generated from in photoscan… and that they do not match the point data in photoscan.I thus cannot correctly reproject the diffuse texture (!). I think i had to move the hi poly mesh in zbrush somehow by accident…

What i want to do now- generate again the hipoly mesh in photoscan (around 10 milion polygons), bring this NEW mesh (with correct position) back to zbrush and SOMEHOW, automatically align the old mesh (they should be pretty similiar, practicaly the same) to the new one (to the CORRECT position)…

Is there some feature/tool/button how to AUTOMATICALLY align (nearly) identical meshes (that have different possition, rotation, and maybe even scale)?

You can reset any or all the XYZ axis in the Geometry Palette>Position. Setting them all to 0 is probably what you are looking for.

Hello
Thank you, i will try that… But im not sure it will work… I tried to import the original 10 milion mesh back to Agisoft Photoscan (the original obj, not the zbrush version)… and even it imported INcorrectly as far as i remember… im not sure what happened, as i said i worked on the project months (or a year?) and i dont remeber the details. So in the case that even your suggestion doesnt work, is there some way how to automatically allign (practically) similiar meshes (subtools) that should be (practically) the same but have different position, orientation (rotation) and maybe even scale?

I think i saw some script on this forum, but im not sure… doesnt zbrush have such functionality?

Ok so i tried it and it doesnt fix the problem. I probably maybe had several versions of this mesh in the past and agisoft files (i was doign some test with this one back then) and probably deleted the hi poly mesh wit correct coordinates and imported in zbrush, retopo etc. the incorrect mesh (with incorrect default positions)…

So again please, is there some AUTOMATIC way how to allign the same (or almost the same) meshe/subtools in zbrush?
I can do it by hand and i probably will but i have run on this problem in the past and might again in future+ its handy to have such feature… So please, does Zbrush have it? Or do some scripts provide it?

Thank you :-)!
