Why if i mask two poligon, the mask is shade ?
Hello @Enrico_Sartori
In ZBrush, you’re actually masking the points, not the polygons. In order for a polygon to be masked, the points it is comprised of must be completely masked. Make sure your masking marquee envelops all the necessary points.
It is also normal for the surrounding polygons which aren’t completely masked to be partially shaded, because some of the points share borders with the masked polygons and are therefore masked. However, because ALL of the points of those polygons arent completely masked, those polygons will not be masked even though they are partially shaded.
When working at low polycount, it can be difficult to paint the individual points by hand. If you can’t completely envelop the target polygons with the masking marquee, it is much more effective to be familiar with the shortcuts for both masking and mesh visibility. If you hide all but the two polygons you want to mask then mask them (for instance by ctrl-clicking in empty canvas space), you can be certain to completely mask your target polygons.
