How extremely inconvenient those nanomeshes are

I waited something like that for years and honestly going to continue using similar feature in 3d max probably with a lot of available object painters. Why Pixologic just didn’t follow other programs way and trying to invent bicycle again? Vue for example which have such a wonderful clones painter.

I broke my brain already trying to figure out why sometimes I cant switch off a base plane I am scattering nanomeshes on whatever “show placement” button is. And why sometimes I can’t re-paint on a selected nanomesh ( it turnes just white) to render them into a certain specular value.

Not sure it’s a bug or I am missing something.

Nevertheless big thanks to Pixologic for the feature. it’s much better then nothing

Keep in mind this is the first installment of this feature. I am sure it will improve over time, like all things in Zbrush. As why is it not like feature X in software B, perhaps Zbrush is unable to process that kind of system in that way. Zbrush has come a long way from its original use; considering that it is only 4 solid versions in. I have been using it since 3.1 it is definitely a different beast.
Vue has it’s strengths. It was built to do arrays, and make Views. It is awful as a modeler. Give Pixologic time.
