Hi everyone! I’ve got another Noob question: Can anyone tell me how one goes about resizing an iris and/ or pupil individually with Gizmo/ transpose, on an eyeball subtool?
I’ve seen the effect done with the 3D Gizmo in a tutorial on making eyes, but that particular sizing aspect wasn’t explained. I’ve also the effect done in a video advertising an eyeball subtool, but I really wanted to learn how to do this myself. Any help is and will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
How about a screenshot of the situation in question, or a link to the tutorial you’re referencing? I’m assuming that just increasing the size of the eyeball is not what you’re after, so I’d need a bit of context to offer best advice.
Hi! Thanks for the response and sorry for the lack of info. The first video I saw this done was here, and happens at 0:40 to 0:53:
I was wrong in that it was a tutorial, but even so I still want to learn how this was done. The other effect I saw was from here:
Basically I want to be able to create my own eye tool than can be manipulated in this way, and was assuming it was done with the 3D gizmo. I know this is something that a person is trying to make a profit from, and I have no intention of infringing on that. I just want to learn how to do this on my own; I’m still pretty new to Zbrush. Thanks again for responding friend!
The user in the first video appears to be using the Zbrush Live Boolean feature.
The user in the second video appears to be using zmodeler or other to simply move the topology around on a low poly object, and and using 3d layers to give it a bit of a morph control. This would only be possible with a low poly sphere with deliberate topology and clealry defined edge loops. So modeling more than sculpting.
Thanks again, Spyndel! I’m still getting familiar with all the terminology and functions, but this does help clear some things up. I really appreciate the help!
