how do you control WHITE LINES?

howdy,

i have zb3 installed at work and at home. at home, i get the really nice white border in which you can move your cursor to rotate and move your model but at work, i have none.

also, i’ve seen screen shots where the white lines are actually a fully BOX inside the 3d view but i only have two on the sides…

how do you control how it appears in the interface?

thanks.

hello? super basic question with absolutely no documentation… anybody? pixologic?

hello?

The white lines appear when the canvas [document] size is greater than the size available for viewing. In other words, if your work set up uses a large screen and resolution the default canvas size may display in its entirety with a background border and no white lines. You can use the border to move an object in edit mode in exactly the same way as the area provided by the white lines. To force the creation of the white lines simply increase the size of the document by changing the values in the Document:width and height sliders and pressing Resize. You can store this new size as a default by saving the document to your ZBrush3\ZStartup folder as StartupDocument.zbr.

aha!

thank you very much marcus! exactly what i wanted to know.

actually, it would be great if this was added to the documentation. the whiteline area is great but it is barely mentioned in the docs. and i scoured that thing to find some more info!

thanks again!
