How do I set the floor grid square size?

I could not find the answer to this.

You see in my screen grab that my object fills the floor grid square vertically and measures 0.41…

So I assume the squares showing on the floor are close to 0.41. I want the floor squares to represent a full single unit, or 1.0.

How do I change them?

Thanks for any help with this…

Thanks Doug, I never would have found that. I did not expect it to act the way that it did. It seems then that the term “unit” is arbitrary. When I changed to to “1” nothing changed relative to my object and the grid square. Just the measurement changed. But that works for my needs.

Thank you again for taking the time to point out that transpose Units under Preferences.

I saw another reply from you Doug, in my email notification. It was another reference section dealing with the floor grid under “draw.” Thank you for this. For some reason when I clicked on the link to this thread it does not show up. But I wanted to reply with another thanks.

Yeah, that was the link I put in first but changed my mind and edited the post…Final answer

k thanks Doug.
