HOW DO I ROTATE A MESH OR OBJ OBJECT IN THE VIEWPORT…SO I CAN SEE IT FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES SO I CAN APLY A GREY SCALE ALPHA MAP FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES…OF THE MODEL…???
Just use Texture Master
Draw your 3D object
“Drop” it
Paint it
“Pick” it
Rotate it
“Drop” it
etc…

Ps Sorry I have just read the subject  so it’s not exactly that you want But yes a little
I think you should use Stencil tool (ref.manual how to use it)
Stencil is a good idea if you want to precisely apply your alpha or whatever on your 3D model.
In fact, it is not possible to rotate model while you use any other tool (like alpha, or stencil)
If it is not possible to rotate model while you use any other tool,…HOW I WOULD BE ABLE TO PAINT MY OBJECT FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES WITH THE ALPHA BRUSH???
hi, tio_matt
easiest is as frenchy said with texture master (or you use 3dcopy, but thats more difficult imho) …here how you go :
say you have modeled head, and you want paint now its color/texture. take your head, start texturemaster, rotate head so that faces fron, press drop in texture master, paint, use any tools you like, alpha brush whatever… when finish, press pick in texture master … now you can rotate head to see side … then press drop in texture master again, have fun painting side with any tool you like (even 3d tools ) and then press pick again, and side is painted too … keep going until you have painted all …
there is btw very good tutortial on that which comes with texture master, just press help button (or was it called “show me”?) there …
As others have said, just launch Zbrush. Then click on Texture Master to run that script, and then click the Show and Tell button which will teach you how to paint a 3D model/tool.
