Hey guys well at the momwent its just over 5 million polys, and its not eneough for detail not crisp enough.
Now i divided and it went to over 20 million polys and thats bogging my pc down abit,is there a way of dividing it so it can have 10 million polys as that would be enough as its only for an image anyway,i looked all over for an answer but cant find one,
would be very gratefull if someone knows of a way to do this in zbrush anyway thanks in advance
Hi!
Your best option IMO is to add polygonal density to the parts that need more detail (head, claws, etc.) and leave the other areas less dense, to keep your polycount lower.
Apparently, you can just mask off the parts you don’t want to subdivide, and only subdivide the unmasked parts–credit goes to Marcus Civis for pointing this out at the other questions forum. That way, you can keep the polygonal density low on areas where you don’t need so much detail.
Another, more “traditional”, way is to use polypaint density and zremesh. This method, however, will remove any prior specific topology and/or subdivisions on your model, since you’re basically zremeshing the whole thing. But since you’re only making an image of this, topology shouldn’t matter.
Hope this helps.
