I am trying to combine my sculpted head with my sculpted body. I tried having the 2 meshes at the same division and clicking merge in the SubTool Master Plugin, then exporting it and importing it through the import selection in the tool pallet and hitting merge. I have also tried Merge down and Merge Visible, and also I did a search for my problem on this site and read the suggestion and tried that too. Nothing seems to work. Sure both of the tools will be merged but the edge along the shoulders of the head creates a seam and I need this model to be seamless for the type of costume I have in mind. I need help, please :(. Thank you!
Hi,
I am having the same problem. I am trying to merge a body and a head together. The body is made of a Dynamesh, and the head is not Dynamesh.
Can I merge the two mesh’s without converting the head to Dynamesh?
Hi,
I don’t think it’s possible to merge them without first converting your head into a Dynamesh. To get rid of the seam you could do a retopo of the merged head and shoulder mesh and then project your sculpted details back to the new topology. Then you’ll be able to smooth out the seam.
You can also convert the merged tool into a Dynamesh for a quick retopo, but then you’ll loose some details.
