How can you rename an existing macro ?

I have tried to rename a macro by changing the macro’s files names, in the Startup / macro / misc folder.
But that does not work, is their a way to just change the name of a macro, with out having to rewrite and re save it under a new name. Sometimes I want to do this to change the text in the button on my UI that runs a macro.

Thanks

It should work OK if you delete the ZSC file that has the same name as your macro:

  1. Close ZBrush.
  2. Go to the Startup / macro / misc folder and delete the ZSC file that has the same name as the macro you want to edit. For example My Macro.zsc.
  3. Rename the TXT file to what you want the button to be called. So for example, if it is called My Macro.txt you might change it to Fill Object.txt.
  4. Restart ZBrush.

The renamed button should automatically appear on starting ZBrush. If it doesn’t, press Macro>Reload All Macros.
