How can i polygroup this row of polygons, since they don't form a full loop

Hi all, looking for some help on what commands I could use to group a single row of polygons on this non solid planar object, indicated by the white line.

I have used the zmodler edge actions to do this type of thing to make a new polygroup by selecting an edge of an exsisting polyloop

But since this command does not work here because this is not a full closed polyloop.

How can I get the row of polys indicated by the white line into a new polygroup?

have you tried the selectlasso brush?
after you selecet it, press ctrl+shift on and edge that lies on that poly loop.
