Hi @Toma.
You should not be getting two objects, unless:

Symmetry is active, and causing the operation to be mirrored.

You have additional surfaces masked that you are unaware of.
In the case of the latter, this may be a result of masking through your “thick plane”, so that the opposing surface is also masked. This can be prevented by hiding the opposing surface polygons prior to masking, or enabling Brush> Auto Maks > Backface masking. Of those two options, hiding polygons works 100% of the time, and auto masking works most of the time.
[Edit] Just noticed you’re using Zbrush Core. I think the features I referenced are present in that version, but I’m not completely certain.
