How can I delete edgeloops?

Hi!
By mistake I edgeloop one face that wasn’t suppost to have an edgeloop, and after I sulpted for awhile I noticed the edgeloop. I can take back to Maya and get rid of the edge loops, but I don’t want to lose the information I sculpted before.

Ok thanks guys! If this subject was mentioned before, I apologize.

Hi guys!

Is there anybody who knows wow to deleted edge loops created in Zbrush? By deleting I mean getting rid of the extra geometry without making a hole on the geometry?
I thought after 12 hours atleast somebody would know!

Thanks again and have a good one!

Hi,
You could bring the model into Maya, delete those nasty edgeloops then import it back to ZBrush and hit “Reconstruct Subdiv” in the Tool menu. I think that should atually do the trick and you’ll get all your lover sub levels
Might be wrong,though…

Hey Unknown Atist!

I thought of something similar to that, but I didn’t think about the Reconstruct Subdiv. I was thinking of taking it to Maya and deleting those edgeloops, but again I was afraid of losing a few mins of sculpting.
I was trying to find a way of somehow to delete those edgeloop whithin Zbrush, so I don’t have to worry about losing any previous levels.

Maybe Aurick or Ryan can give me some advice?

Ok again, Thanks Unknown A. for taking the time and have a good one!

Does anybody else knows how to delete edgeloops in Zbrush?

Thanks!

Javier Loredo.

You can’t.

I would have to take it to Maya and delete those edgeloops and bring it back to zbrush? The problem is that I would lose a few hours of texturing. I have no problem starting again, but if there is any way, plz let me know.

Thanks again, and have a good one!

Ok I give up! hehehe
For now lets say there is no way of deleting edgeloops in Zbrush.

If anybody finds out a way or any of the Zbrush Pro’s know something regarding deleting edgloops, plz post your method. This also might help others that are having the same problem and would like to find a quick solution or method.

Ok guys, have a nice day and Thanks again!
