Horizontal Lines Suddenly Appear In Render

After painting this cartoon character teeth and gums, I was test-rendering in Zbrush before exporting textures to my animation-model. These horizontal lines appear in all renders. I just sent an email to Pixologic for help. They told me to come here. I don’t want to export these textures if they’re all corrupt now.

This has never happened before. They always extend from the eyes, in the same direction.

Any suggestions?

export out the eyes and import them

see if they are broken with no textures or polypaint

Thanks for the advice. But here’s the strange thing that happened. Earlier, I restarted and re-initialized several times, even rebooted and got the same effect.

So I went to lunch and started Z once last time, before trying your test and the problem is gone as suddenly as it appeared.

Strange.

I have the same issue with horizontal lines when BPR rendering. It happens when trying to render eyes - with a transparent object over on opaque object (an eyeball within a transparent eyeball). It doesn’t go away. Any ideas?

Thanx.

Correction. It happens when using “toy Plastic” material. Nothing to do with the double layers. It has something to do with specularity. The lines tend to start at the bright white highlights

How do I insert in image?
