I agree with Hansl. I think the content of the first link must have changed recently, as The Pleasant Faced Man is nowhere to be seen; it did however fill in some detail on his later life of which I was unaware.

But the second link was very interesting, not least because I haven’t seen many of his post-1950 paintings and none of his drawings previously. The one that really caught my eye was the splendid From Green to White, penultimate imjage on the page. (What a pity there is no feature to view larger versions of the images. :frowning: )

Thanks for these interesting links.

Hi Fly
When I say : a very pleasant faced man : it’s a Black and White photo of Yves Tanguy by Man Ray ! It’s not a painting and it’s not the name of the photo, it’s just my own interpretation
All the links work fine !
If you want more big pictures go there
A pdf with 53 reproductions !!! here !

Ps The official Site (french/english)!
But some links are broken.
(especialy the multiplication !)

Very interesting links Pilou. And a lovely homage you have paid to a most intriguing artist.

I did wonder about the Man Ray photo… Doh!

Many thanks for the additional PDF link - the document is downloading as I type. :+1:
