Hollowing out interpenetrating geometry

Hi All,
This is a side and top view of a model for a ceramic vase I designed in Zbrush.

I made the form by twisting and distorting 3 separate subtools around one another. Now I want to print it so I can create molds and cast the piece.

For printing I am trying to find the best way to keep the shell of the object, and hollow out all the interpenetrating geometry on the inside. I merged down the subtools and have tried using Dynamesh and Zremesher but each time am left with all the geometry inside.

I can manually retopologize the surface with Zspheres, but surely there is another, faster way?

Looking forward to your input,

J

Once you have them merged in the SubTool pallette, try using negative insert mesh objects, probably spheres, to hollow it out.
Looking at your object it doesn’t look like you want to use Create Shell but if the interior was filled, create shell would work great.

Thats going to be a neat vase by the way!
