Ever since 2020 I there has been an infuriating bug whereby the history timeline just disappears randomly. I’ve never experienced this before 2020. I thought it was fixed in 2021, but it’s just happened to me now(I’m on latest 2021.1.1)

It just happens mid session with no warning or apparent reason. I can’t reproduce it because it’s completely random.

This has nothing to do with loading/saving undo history and my undo prefs are set to default 10K undos and 8gb per subtool.

For whatever reason it always seems to leave exactly 2 undo states/bars in the history.

I have no explanation for your experience.

If you have a technical issue with ZBrush, it needs to be reported to Pixologic Support. Reporting it on the community forums doesn’t put it in the hands of the developers.

Thanks, I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced it? I did come across another webpage were the same issue was occurring so I was curious if it was happening to others.

Edit: I’ve just figured it out. It’s Zcolour that’s doing it. Try it yourself, roll back your undo history timeline and open Zcolour. Hit the ‘Set Colour’ button and the timeline will instantly clip to wherever it was set to and all forward history from that point will be erased.
