ZBrushCentral

Hi !

Hello,

I heard talk of Zbrush 1.23b (and 1.5 soon) by www.3dvf.com (yes, i’m french, excuse my broken english), and i have downloaded the tryout version to see how it works.

And i was impressed : this software is really interesting, well done and well thought. It seems easy-to-use (from what i saw with zscripts), intuitive.

So, i’m going to learn it, and i hope you can help me when problem i’ll have.

Welcome, N!
You’ll find everyone here is glad to help with any problems you might encounter, and welcome to the best, and friendliest Forum on the Net!

Welcome to ZBrush and ZBC! It’s always a pleasure to see a new face.

Please use ZBC as a place to share your creations and insights, ask question, and generally cheer one another on!

To help with learning ZBrush, you will find the QuickLinks to be especially useful. There is a link to that area in the top right corner of every page here. The New Users section is a great place to start, and you’ll find some very inspirational pictures in the Step-by-Step section. In fact, several of those were created by another Frenchman, Olivier LeDiscot.

Welcome, and have fun!

Salut Nawak
Et même en français les tuyaux

Thanx.

ZBC users seems to be sympathetic nerve (already a private mail).

Zscripts are powerful tools to learn, sure. I already saw all the headings of the website, more especially “Zscripts” and “gallery”, to see what the software is able to make (with a good control).

I come from 3D studio Max, and definitively, it is not the same way of thinking. Max is technical, mechanical. ZB is intuitive, but more limited (poor animation, no specific poly tools, etc…). But for my use (fixed images and graphic elements essentially), the lacks are not significant.

And especially, ZB seems easier to use. For exemple, if I understood well, UVW mapping coordinates are create in same time that have models (like nurbs in max), and not after. A true comfort for texturing.

I feel that I will have fun.
