Im looking to spend about around 800 on a new (PC Tower)
I’ve seen in fryz store this one thats
AMD Phanton Quad X4 9550.
5GB Of Ram DDR2 SDRAM
Vista Yadiyada. I belive is a 64bit-
and 720Gb 7200RPM HDD…
So um… Should i invest it on it?
Or should i buy one of them Intel Quad Q6600 Instead?

the main things you have to look for is the processor, video card and memory. i have windows xp 32 bit, 8800 gt and amd 5600+ proc. 1gb of ram and zbrush runs great. i think that that the models made in zbrush and the renders rely heavily on advanced mathematic calculations. the processor basically porcesses all that information. i dont know im not a hardware engineer but i recomend you put your money into a good motherboard, a good amd proc and a 8800 gt card. 2gb of ram is fine. xp will only use a max of 4gb of ram. i think vista can run 16 gb or somthin but you dont need that much unless you plan on modeling somthing super major.
So then you’re telling me to aim towards the AMD Processor not the IntelQuad? Im moving from a 4800x2 processor that the motherboard and ppu got ****ed =\ so i said fuk it and gonna move some of the stuff from that pc to my new one when i get it, but im still unassure what to get, will it be a Phatom or the IntelQuad.
