Yeah, I just checked out the video on the brush tool. VERY interesting to ZB users.
Did you check out the 3D paint tool? This will be a major upgrade for HEX!

Familly is growing
French touch of the team conceptors
definitively a clone of zbrush… With more traditional features for modeling…
I specially love the realtime displacement… No more need of projection master, but I imagine those feature would also be include in zbrush 2…
Also great is the way the paint thexture on the car : it keep the spacing in memory, so everytime you paint the same area, theres no more textures blending, with quality loss, but correct overlapping for maximum precision…
Nice stuff on Hex 2!!! Worth looking into. And cross platform too. PC & Mac.
hex 2 looks really nice no doubt. definitely has some z-influence. you can tell by the growing number of zbrush users that intuitive modeling is taking away the fear of 3d. i know that using 3d modeling programs was very intimidating to me, until i stumbled across zbrush. it opened up a whole new world that i am now, hooked on. hell, take a look at the upcoming version of modo.
still, though, pixologic has a huge leg up on their competitors. those “other guys” still have a lot of ground to make up in this arena. while Z-2.5 may still not be the perfected version, i’m sure it’ll be the benchmark around which the others are trying to catch up to…again.
hopefully, those of us on this board will harken back to ZBrush 2.0 and say “hey, remember Projection Master?”
the mad scientist that Pixolator seems to be, will not disappoint, i’m certain.
stick with Z and stay on Zcutting edge:lol:. I for one support Pixologic all the way!:b2:
Sure, even if they use a lot of zbrush features, they are still years away:lol:
But hope zbrush 2.5 to come soon to maintin the advance
