Help with understanding a few specific buttons in the brush palette? (beginner)

Hello! I was watching a tutorial about creating custom brushes, and somewhere along the tutorial, the instructor brought up the trails feature within the modifiers sub-palette within the brush palette. (brush palette -> modifiers sub-palette -> trails). I understood what trails does, but the few options below it is what I am very confused about.

The buttons are the ones I typed below
(GPosition - GOrientation - LPosition - LOrientation)

I have read the little pop-up menu that appears as you hover over the buttons and yet my inexperience with 3D software does not allow me to comprehend the explanations unfortunately :frowning:

GPosition = The G Position slider controls the Trails global position falloff.
GOrientation = The G Orientation slider controls the Trails global orientation falloff.
LPosition = The L Position slider controls the Trails local position falloff.
LOrientation = The L Orientation slider controls the Trails local orientation falloff.

I of course tried to experiment with these different features to figure out what they do, but I can’t really see a difference when I set any one of these sliders from 0-1. If anyone knows what these options do, I’d greatly appreciate it if you could help me understand . Thanks!

The trails feature applies additional instances of the current brush along the stroke. Those settings influence the appearance of those trails. Experiment with them to find out what differences they might make in the appearance of the stroke. Probably minimal in most cases, though the effects may be more apparent with some brush/alphas than others.
