a software (freeware) that can genarate random images like the one I have enclosed in this post for creating textures sizes up to 4098x4098 and alphas for masking. (or a Z2 plugin)

TIA

if you are looking for some funky ones try any of the zillion freebie fractal programs out there that will allow you to generate in black and white…inverse option would be good too.
there are probably some plugins for photoshop or paintshop that would do something similar as well. I can’t think of a specific one at the moment but one that would do a tileable kaleidescope effect would be cool.
I can’t think of one off hand that randomly generates something similar to your example.
Thanks aminuts
the texture above is the size I used for the alpha for masking (the program have can not create larger size files) and here is the image when Z2’s texture number 32 is used

Ok i can say this now…get Svengali’s new script…map it!!
it has a way cool feature that will let you tile any texture and you can get some way cool results for what you are trying to do here.
the link to it is the top one in my signature.
Blender3D and a Cool script called “Beast”(for blender) can easily do that, and more.
Anyway, best is a method where you can build anything: Forest, city block, head of hair, ect from a set number of original things.
So you set it up on a subdivided plane, and give it a triangle, square, circle, ect and it would randomly generate 1 object per vertex giving you a huge map of random objects or images.
Also you can have it give each thing random rotation, size, ect if you want.
Both are free and kick ass.
…use the Spray brush of Zbrush for interessting map
And the Cameyo script Zplace 2 in astucious way:)
