Help with creating small bumpy surface detail

I’m currently modelling my granddad’s old camera. I’m not sure of the exact model, but I think it is a Kodak. For the sake of reference, the below image is relatively close in terms of the surface detail on the case that I am trying to achieve on my high poly.

I’ve tried looking online and the most recommended method to get that surface detail is via the NoiseMaker function with an alpha. As I am not overly familiar with ZBrush’s UV Master, I’ve done the UVs in Maya, and then imported my OBJ and subdivided it to ~2.8m polies. However, when I use the NoiseMaker function and set it by UVs, I just get the below result.

I’ve also used simple seamless alphas I’ve found online, and they have the same issue of stretching like the above image. For full clarity, these are my UV’s:

Does anyone have any ideas why the alpha seems to be stretching in areas? I fell like it might be a simple explanation, but as I am basically self-taught (and find it hard to watch tutorials), it’s sometimes the very simple things that trip me up.

Thanks for any help.
