Help Please

hey guys, just wanna ask, lets say i have a 3D model that has keyframe animations from C4D, then have the FBX file to MD, made a jacket in MD and run the cloth simulation to the model, save the cloth simulation in Alembic format, if i want to lets say add an accecories like pict bvelow, adding a pipe over the jacket like that through Zbrush, like would it be possible?

i guess the better question is if we sculpt something on top of an alembic file would it work?

sorry i’m very very new to this

Hello @Kennardi_Sebastian

ZBrush imports the following formats:

    • Wavefront OBJ (*.obj)
    • Maya (*.ma)
    • Mesh Ascii (*.mesh)
    • Mesh binary (*.meshb)
    • GoZ (ZBrush format for GoZ-enabled programs)
    • STL (*.stl) using the 3D Print Hub plugin
    • FBX using the FBX Export Import plugin

Zbrush can absolutely sculpt elements over top of any geometry you import, but you will have to convert it into an importable format first.

For more specific information about a workflow built around a specific piece of external software, it would be better to seek out resources devoted to that software. Not everyone uses ZBrush for the same workflow, and you’re likely to receive only general information from the wider zbrush community. Other users of that software will have solved that workflow to a much more specific degree if using ZBrush.

Good luck :slightly_smiling_face:
